So 3 weeks ago Mike proposed and of course I said "YES"!
So a little background:Mike and I met at a train station in Philadelphia, We took the same train every morning to work for months before he finally got up the nerve to talk to me. When he finally did decide to break the silence, it was over the daily newspaper that we read every morning. The have the newspapers there at the train station for anyone to take for free. It's called "The Metro".
The proposal:We had planned for weeks to go over his parent's house for dinner. So on our way there he got a phone call and turned to me and said "that was my dad on the phone, his buddy said he's in the Metro. So we need to stop at the train station on our way and pick up a copy to bring to him" His dad refs games for local high schools, so he has been in the paper before. I didn't think anything of it. When we pulled into the station (where we met) I was like "I'll run out and get the paper" So I walked out of the car over to where the papers are. I opened the box, pulled out the only copy and on the front cover is a picture of us and the headline "Young Man is About to Propose to his Sweetheart" and then under it it said "Michael is about to pop the question" "Will Jennifer say yes"! It took me a full 5 seconds to realize what was going on. As soon as I did I turned around and he was on his knee!! I could not believe it!!!What a wonderful surprise!
